[I don't know how to re-flag the question as 'not answered', so I'm using a new post:]
Thank-you. But from the datasheet, it looks like Toggle is active-low (the legend has a bar over it) ?!
And what about Latch, and Reset? There's no bar, so are they are active-high? So keep them low? (But RESETs are usually active-low!)
Can you please clear this up definitively?
Thanks again,
>>The toggle stops the count and locks the display. To count, toggle enable would be low. The unused clock could be high or low (don't float). I would hold it low.
>>>Hi - I have a few questions about this up/down counter, where the datasheet doesn't seem clear (or at least not clear enough for me!): What does the Toggle input do? For simple counting, should I hold the Toggle, Latch, Reset inputs high or low? If the CountUp input is used, should the CountDown input be held high or low, and vice versa? Thank-you very much, Graham Rounce
