TXS0108E: Can i use a 5V signal to trigger the output enable?

Part Number: TXS0108E

Hi team,

If I have both VCCA and VCCB on the TXS0108 part set at 3.3V, can I use a 5V signal to trigger the output enable or should I voltage divide that signal down?

Thanks,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

The info you're looking for is described in the recommended operating conditions table of the datasheet here:

As indicated above, for the OE pin, any input value above VCCA * 0.65 and less than 5.5V is considered a recommended input -- so 5V is perfectly fine.
