TXB0104: Ripple at rise and fall edge pulse

Part Number: TXB0104
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC2T45

Dear TI,

Here is my schematic.

I implemented to apply a square clock 200KHz at "MIC_DAT" and enable TS5A ic and LV shifter TXB0104 to evaluate performance output clock.

I use Analog discovery 2 of digilient to generate clock.

However, when I put it on TXB0104, there are ripple at Rise edge pull and due to clock output is wrong.

Do you have any experience about this case.

I hope to receive your reply soon.

Thank you.

  • Are there long traces, cables, or connectors? I suspect that the system violates the limits described in sections 8.3.3 and 8.3.5 of the datasheet.

For unidirectional signals, a unidirectional or direction-controlled level shifter (e.g., SN74AXC2T45) would be much more robust.

  • Dear Ladisch,

    Thank for your reply.

I think I find out the root cause.

The problem comes from source clock, although this clock was applied to TXS0104 with good performace.

So I change other source clock generated by Raspberry PI 4 mode-B, and performace of TXB0104 will be better, it 's similar to TXS0104.

Maybe old one violated the requierments.

    Thank you.
