SN74HCS244-Q1: looking for 74CBTLV3245-Q100 replacement

Part Number: SN74HCS244-Q1

Dear team,

I am looking for 74CBTLV3245-Q100 replacement, but I can't find same function device. Our SN74HCS244-Q1 has very similar function. Our device has two OE pins while 74CBTLV3245-Q100 only have one OE pin. Do we have same function device with 74CBTLV3245-Q100? If not, we can connect two OE pins of SN74HCS244-Q1 together to achieve the same function, right?

Thanks & Best Regards,

  • Hi Sherry,

The CBTLV family of devices are all analog switches, while the HCS family of devices are all active logic gates -- ie they do _not_ pass analog signals.

If you just need to buffer digital signals, the SN74HCS244-Q1 will work great for that -- note that it only works in one direction (from A to Y) unlike the analog switches, which will work in either direction.

If you'd like to share more details about the application, maybe I can suggest a part or find someone who can.

  • Hi Maier,

Thanks for your reminding! I have found the right device in analog switch list. Thank you!

    Best Regards,
