TXS0102: Drop in replacement from TI for TXS0102

HI,

I am looking for the drop in replacement for the TXS0102 (YZP) for 1.2V to 3.3V/5V level translation. I checked LSF but it is not pin-pin compatible. Does TI have any replacement?

The TXB0102 is pin compatible, but has very different electrical characteristics and is unlikely to work in your circuit. There is nothing else.

Why do you want to replace it?

Hi,

I would like to replace because, the new requirement of 1.2V to 3.3V level translation. We have hard wired the VCCA to the power, which will change down to 1.2V now.

TXS0102 requires VCCA min of 1.65V.

Hey Amith,

As you and Clemens have both mentioned, the LSF and TXB are replacements you could use and they would have different electrical characteristics but there won't be a drop in solution for you.

Hi Rami,

We are using it for I2C level translation (400KHz max). Can you confirm if I can use TXB YZP package as drop-in replace? We are not in place to modify the layout currently.

This wouldn't work. The TXB has push-pull architecture while the TXS is open drain.

Amith, That is correct. There are options such as the LSF0102 for the voltage range but nothing drop in.
