SN74LV1T125: Connect two SN74LV1T125 to level translate from 1.8V to 5V

Hi Team,

Our customer is looking for a single +1.8V to +5V unidirectional voltage translator with tristate output. I have checked our product lines but it seems we don't have this type of device.

Can we connect two SN74LV1T125 such that the output of the first device goes to the input of the second. Then the VCC of the first one will be connected to a 3.3V supply and will translate the voltage from 1.8V to 3.3V while the VCC of the second one will be connected to 5V supply and will translate 3.3V to 5V. Please refer to the diagram below. Is this feasible?

That would be possible, but requires an additional supply.

I would combine the SN74LVC2T45 with the SN74AHC1G125.

Depending on the signals, it might be possible to use the TXS0101 or TXB0101 (both have active-high OE).
