TM4C129XNCZAD: TM4C129 GPIO pins for the spi port

The pins SS1xFss (or any other SSInFss pin for any spi pin) on the SPI i assume they can be used as GPIO's even if the SPI port is being used correct? I can see in the TRM that it can be from page 1908 but like to double check. it is GPIO B port 4 for SSI1Fss

Hi Mohsen,

Correct. A lot of customers control the SS pin as a GPIO rather than using the SSI peripheral to do so as it allows more flexibility of when the SS line toggles. The peripheral can be initialized with just MOSI/MISO/SPI CLK configured so the SS1xFss pin can be used for any other purpose.
