SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP: SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP

Part Number: SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hello,

I would like to ask what ISO/IEC Standard is followed by HALCoGen IDE 04.07.01 for HAL source code generation? I have not found any information clarifying this question in the documentation.

Regards,

Peter

  • Hello Peter,

SafeTI Software is developed following ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.

  • Hello QJ Wang,

Thank you for your response and I am sorry for the delay. My question is related to the C programming language standard such as ISO/IEC 9899:201x. I assume HALCoGen follows a C programming standard which is used to generate the HAL source code.

    Regards,

    Peter

  • Hi Peter,

This HALCOGen tool was developed using a software development process (QRAS AP00210 process) that is certified for use in building functional safety applications compliant to IEC61508, up to SIL3. Note that the software component itself is not certified.

Please have a look at "User Guide of HALCoGen Software Safety Manual for Hercules Family of Microcontrollers". It includes a list of Misra rules followed for the SW development. I don't know the details of which C programming standard is followed.

  • Hello QJ Wang,

Thank you for your support and response.

    Regards,

    Peter
