TM4C1294NCPDT: Production status and life

Part Number: TM4C1294NCPDT

Hello,

I am planning to use TM4C1294NCPDT in one of my project. Customer is looking for 10 Years production commitment.

Can you please share if there is a plan to discontinue this part in near future, Or share a document to support 10 Years production commitment for this part.

Thanks,

Ashok

  • Hello Ashok,

We do not handle any commitments like you are requesting over the E2E forums. Please reach out to a TI sales rep to engage in such discussions.

That said, I can say that there is no plans to discontinue this part in the near future and we are featured alongside MSP430 / C2000 on TI.com because these are devices we will continue to support including for industrial applications that have long life cycles: https://www.ti.com/microcontrollers-mcus-processors/microcontrollers/overview.html

    Best Regards,

    Ralph

  • Thanks Ralph for your reply.

Would you like to suggest a basic MCU part that I can use for an ethernet use-case. Best I see in TM4C1294NCPDT is, It has inbuilt PHY which save cost and design time for me. I somehow finds TI more trustable than others.

I don't know how to reach a TI sales person in my region. I am starting fresh in the industry. My previous organizations were having a representative assigned.

  • Hello Ashok,

For Ethernet MAC+PHY integration yes TM4C1294NCPDT is a good option or TM4C1294KNCDPT if you only need 512kB Flash.

I am not seeing any regional information in your myTI profile. I would recommend perhaps reaching out to our Customer Support Center to find details about a TI rep that covers your region: https://ticsc.service-now.com/csm

    Best Regards,
