Hello,

I'm trying to use the bootloader on a MSP432E401Y to upload code via UART.

I'm using the default UART0 on a MSP-EXP432E401Y.

I tried several times, following instructions described in slau799b, it never worked.

I also tried via BSL-Scripter as described in "MSP432E4 Boot Loader" in the ressource explorer, with no luck either.

I tried with UART from the XDS110 attached to the LaunchPad as well as a separate USB to UART converter.

Please help me make it work.

Hello Victor,

I recommend going through the steps at the page below starting with the MSP432P4xx bootloader users guide.

Is there a specific error you are receiving?

Thanks for your answer.

I read that the MSP432P4xx's bootloader is not similar to the MSP432E4xx's one, would the documentation still be relevant ?

The error I'm getting is "No response bytes received from BSL!". I checked and tried the wiring, baudrate etc multiple times.

Victor,

You are correct. E4 and P4 are different BSLs. The link below is for the E4.
