RM48L952: RM48L952 , works perfect if CAN 1 and CAN 2 is Enabled . When CAN 3 is enabled all the CAN BUSSES are shut down with no ERROR LOGGED .

Part Number: RM48L952

Hello ,

We are seeing this behaviour on RM48L952 Controller . Should I take any additonal hardware design rules or should I take any errata into consideration to solve this issue .

RM48L952 , works perfect if CAN 1 and CAN 2 is Enabled . When CAN 3 is enabled all the CAN BUSSES are shut down with no ERROR LOGGED .

Thanks ,

  • Hi Chandre,

Do you connect CAN1, CAN2 and CAN3 to the same CAN network?

    Please check the termination resistors:

The CAN network requires two termination resistors. If you have multiple CAN nodes, only the nodes on the ends of the cable need termination resistors.

Make sure the connections on your PCB are as expected. Every assumes that the schematics, layout, and manufacturing are correct, but unfortunately sometimes they aren’t.
