TMS570LS1224: about TMS570LS1224 CAN/eMMC/Low power consumption questions

Hi TI Professors

My customer have some questions about TMS570LS1224, I forward on behalf of, as follows:

1. Does CAN have FD function?
2. If we want to use eMMC, is there a reference solution?
3. What is the curve under IO wake-up and CAN wake-up at low power consumption?
4. Is the activity at low power consumption set or fixed by the software?

Hi Julia,

1. The DCAN module on TMS570LS1224 doesn't support CANFD.

2. We don't have eMMC example, but we have an SD example using MibSPI and DMA.

3. The device supports three low power mode: Doze, Snooze, and Sleep. All of three modes can be waked up by GIO interrupt, and CAM message. After wake-up time, please refer to the Table 2-11 of TRM. It is around 1300 OSC cycles for Doze mode.

4. At low mode, the CPU doesn't execute any code.

The example is tested on TI RM48Lx and TMS570LC43x HDK. The HDK board has SD card slot, and SPI (SPICLK, SPI_SIMO, SPI_SOMI, SPI_CS0) is used to communicate with SD card.
