TM4C1294NCPDT: TM4C1294NCPDT 1-wire interface

Hello,

We are using TM4C1294NCPDT in our design. we have interfaced DS18S20Z with TM4C1294NCPDT to GPIO M4 (pin no 74).

as the TM4C1294NCPDT does not support 1- wire protocol, could you let us know whether the 1-wire interface works on GPIO.

IF it works, could you pls share the 1-Wire drivers for the same.

We are struck in the testing of this device bringup and request your support on this.

Hello Sumathi,

I looked through our resources and could not find anything like a 1-wire driver for TM4C. I am not fully certain if it can even be done over GPIO, but it is not something that we can provide on our end and would need to be developed by you.

The challenge with the GPIO will be getting the timing right and I'm not familiar enough with the protocol to speak to how challenging that will be, but given software SSI/UART is possible, I would lean towards thinking that software 1-wire interface is also viable.

In the below link..IT seem to be worked.. Reading the buffer was issue..Could you pls check with Amit and Veikko about this issue.

Hello Sumathi,

That is a very old post, Veikko is a community member and Amit is long departed from TM4C support, I cannot ask either of them. I believe the buffer was simply part of the user application regarding how they were trying to store the data and realizing they needed to initialize the buffer elements.

But that does look encouraging for how to implement it and I would recommend following Amit's recommendations. After reading that I have good confidence that a software 1-wire interface can be achieved.
