Hi,

When writing an application image to a blank chip for the first time, if the write operation is interrupted for some reason, there is a possibility that unexpected data will be written to the Flash area.
At this time, if the JTAG is not locked, I think it is possible to perform Factory Reset again. However, if the chip is unexpectedly JTAG locked, is there any way to get it to Factory Reset?
I fear that BSL will not run due to blank disks and hardware invocation.

The BSL is called by the device bootcode by applying a hardware entry sequence (JTAG locked)

Please check 3.3 BSL Invocation of MSP432P4xx SimpleLink Microcontrollers Bootloader (BSL) User's Guide (Rev. J).

Hi Xiaodong LI ,

"Hardware BSL Invocation" is disabled in the factory reset, so If flash fails to write the first time. we can't change the "BSL enable", right?

If the Factory Reset is disable, it cannot be re-enable again.

Beside, depend on different device, JTAG Lock is actually not always literally 'LOCK', you might be able to perform some JTAG access on JTAG locked device like access a few registers of SYSCTL.

Please check 5. System Controller A (SYSCTL_A) in the Technical Reference Manual for more information.
