Hey,

I had a issue when trying to test connection with this debug probe. I received the following error:

I happen to have multiple debug probes with me, I swapped it with a good one and it worked so I knew I had a hardware problem. On the scope, I saw the TCK signal was behaving incorrect. I removed U21 from my bad debugger and swapped in the U21 from my good debugger, now it works. U21 was my problem. This debug probe and my hardware I am trying to debug have seen better days.

I am aware you will not release a full BOM/Schematic for the XDS110 debug probe. However, can you please provide the part number used in U21? I believe it is a TI part anyway.

Also, the part number for the XDS110 debug probe is TMDSEMU110-U.

You can also use the XDS110 on the EK1294XL launch pad for external JTAG, remove X1 header 0R's and R40, MCU is TM4C123xH6PMI. It can be uploaded with JTAG firmware via LM flash programmer.

i don't have the EK1294XL. I want to avoid a work around like this, id rather just have the U21 part number, as it is a small/cheap part. thanks though

yes, understood. We had a few organizational changes so it is a bit challenging finding where all the correct documentation lies. I will keep you posted.

The part number should be on the top of the MCU why not look under magnification glass or was number removed.

The marking simply has "28S", some SMD NPN transistor.

Sorry for the delayed response. It was a bit of a challenge to find the correct schematics for the standalone XDS110.

U21 (along with U16, U17, and U18) is a TI part: TPD4E002DRLR

It seemed U21 described MCU not a simple ESD protection device , might have helped to clarify pin count without schematic.
