Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP-AM243
Hi Mike,
Thank you for this information.
I will let the customer know about this.
Another question I've got from them;Yet another problem just discovered is that the onboard XDS debugger cannot connect my PC via micro-USB. My computer does have CCS installed. I have tried the instruction according to AM243x LaunchPad out-of-box experience (dev.ti.com/.../), but no AM243x LaunchPad serial port can be selected. The XDS debugger does not appear in the device manager.
I have another launchpad (F280049C) working well with the onboard XDS debugger, so I'm pretty sure that's not related to the driver problem. May I have your advice? "
Can you please help us further?
Regards,
Cedrick
Hi Cedric,
I split this question off from the other discussion since it is a different topic, and I wanted to make this one its own thread for better searchability on the forums.
The LP-AM243 is particular about the order in which the USB connections are made, the USB Type C 5V 3A connection should be made before the XDS110 USB connection. The LP-AM243 User's Guide has an important note on this topic in section 1.2 and more details in section 4.15.
Let me know if this solves your problem, and if not, please let me know what power supply is used for the USB Type C 5V 3A connection?
Thanks,
Mike
