MSP-EXP432P401R: The evaluation board can't be detected after firmware update

Thank you for sharing the link to XDS110 product page. According to our customer,

From the suggested link, grounding the TDO pin and trying to enter DFU mode doesn't work anymore after the bootloader update ended abruptly (device simply disconnected). I don't have an external debugger to try JTAG connection. The device isn't entering DFU mode, I don't know what to do. Please help.

That is unbelievable that the ROM bootloader not work except the the there is something wrong with hardware. Could you help to check about the hardware like VCC voltage, 4MHz crystal signal and so on.

By the way, I don't know if customer have other JTAG debug tools that they can use those tool to download the bootloader image by the JTAG interface.

According to our customer,

I don't have an oscilloscope to measure the crystal frequency nor do I have another debugger. The Vcc voltage seems fine as it shows 3.3V and connecting jumper to the board when powered with USB runs the default program on the MSP432 (RGB LED blinking). The MSP432 board is Rev 1.0 (Black) if that helps. Is there any other method to enter DFU mode (other than JTAG) as I've tried grounding the TDO pin multiple times, yet it doesn't work. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

Here is an update from our customer.

I do have an MSP-eZ430U debugger and an MSP430F2618T based GoodFET v42 debugger. Could you confirm if it's possible to update the bootloader/ firmware of the XDS110 with these?

The tool for MSP430 can't be used to MSP432E device.  I am recommend to by a stand along XDS110 that will be more robust and powerful
