Part Number: TMS570LS3137
Hello Guys,
Good day.
Our customer have the following inquiries which we are hoping you could help us with:
"Referring to the datasheet document SPNS162C Rev. C (APRIL 2012–REVISED APRIL 2015):
In our design we use the I2C interface defined in Table 4-28.
The general I/O Electrical Characteristics from Table 5.8 specify a Logic Low Input Voltage (VIL) of MAX 0.8V.
But the datasheet claims in Section 7.9.1 that the I2C Bus is compliant to the Philips I2C-bus specification V2.1. (Doc. Nr.: 9398 393 40011).
The Philips I2C-bus specification, Table 4 specifies the Logic Low Input Voltage of MAX 0.3*VDD. (with VDD = 3.3V -> 0.99V).
Does the TMS570 device (Rev.C & Rev.D) have I2C Logic Low Input Voltage compliant to Philips I2C specification or only to the General I/O characteristics, so 0.8V or 0.99V?
The background: we're using an isolator in our design where the threshold voltages for the I2C bus are exactly in the grey area between 0.8V and 0.99V so we'd like some clarity about this."
Thanks and regards,
Art
