TMS570LC4357-EP: Regarding "L2FMC fatal uncorrectable error"

Hi,

This is a question regarding ESM 3.13 that notify L2FMC fatal uncorrectable error.(ESM3.13:Group3 Channel13)
We are now testing the ESM function of TMS570 MCU on the evaluation board.

Regarding ESM3.13 is described in table5-46 of SPNS253A, below;

L2FMC fatal uncorrectable error:
 address parity error/internal parity error
 address tag error
 Internal switch time-out

 

In these factors, I could check address tag error using my implementation code based on sec 7.7.2.1 of SPNU563A, but I couldn't check other factors(address parity error/internal parity error and Internal switch time-out).

The other two is not described technique of generation.

Could you please tell me about  technique of generating of ESM3.13 by address parity error/internal parity error and Internal switch time-out.

    Hi Sho,

    The ESM3.13 is set for those uncorrectable errors:

    1. address parity error/internal parity error
    2. address tag error
    3. Internal switch time-out

    The diagnostic mode 5 can be used to inject fault to the input of address comparator to intentionally generate address tag error. But the flash wrapper doesn't provide other modes to force parity error and time-out error manually.
