LP-AM243: Behavior of LP-AM243 with CCS

Hello.

We have issue when I use LP-AM243.(I'm trying to perform "Hello World" w/ RTOS)

Issue is below.

* When I connect J20(XDS110_main) to PC at first and connect J10(PWR IN) to PC next, almost I can't connect core of Cortex-R5 of AM243x by using CCS.(I observed only once I could connect. Others(approx 10 times), I failed to connect core.)
On the other hand, when I connect J10(PWR IN) to PC at first and connect J20(XDS110_main) to PC next, I definitely connect core of Cortex-R5 of AM243x by using CCS

Have you ever observed same issue at your side ?

    Hi Ryuuichi,

    It is a known issue. You will need to connect the power supply (J10) first, then connect the JTAG (J20).

    Hi Ryuuichi,

    I do not know the schedule for fixing this issue. Meanwhile you can use the MAIN UART1 to display your DebugP_log():

    "Two UART, one from the MCU domain (MCU_UART0) and one from the main domain of the SoC (MAIN_UART1) are terminated on two on-board 1x6 headers. There is a buffer (SN74CB3Q3125PWR) used to isolate between the connectors and the SoC." (in spruj12.pdf)
