Hi Lifeng,

Currently AM243x does not support neither Profibus nor Profinet master. No plan to support Profinet master on AM243x.

Hi Ming

How many Profibus ports can be supported at most? Can the 7 UART be used as profibus? We plan to develop a module which can convert multiple profibus ports to profinet or ethernet.

I think it is possible, if the PRU can access any uart. Can you submit my requirement to the development team?

Hi Lifeng,

TI firmware can only support 1 Profibus slave instance per ICSS. Depending on the maximum baud rate - may be able to run this from R5F.
