does RTI include in the TMS570 R4F core?

my question is :

1. Does RTI module is in the TMS570 R4F core?  or just a peripheral linked to the cpu internal bus like DCAN or SCI/LIN module?

2. If RTI is a part of R4F core, are there two entity of RTI with two entity R4F core? In my safety application the time tick is safety critical.

3. If RTI isn't a part of R4F core, Die failure Rate for RTI Subsystems isn't list in Certificate document.

thx.

    Yang,

    Find below my answers:

    1. No. It's not part of core, but a system module.

    2. No.

    3. I need to check. But there are two counters within RTI. (FRC0 and FRC1) which can be made use of.

I haven't heard of any issues with RTI so far when the RTI clock settings are done as per TI recommendations.

    Best Regards,

    Pratip

We make the assumption that pretty much every application would make use of the RTI. Thus the RTI block is considered a part of "Subsystem Common for all SIFs" and so the failure rate is included in the failure rate of that subsystem.
