I was surprised to see that the most recent version of the HALCoGen code generator still exposes a drawing issue in its latest release (2018, I think).
I further feel that the TI staff answer to just change scaling settings on the users machine is insufficient and inconvenient. Computers using scaling are getting the default and neither constantly changing scaling settings nor setting a scale that you to not want is a viable option.
For me, there is a simple solution for this issue (I have translated menu texts from German, so it might not be an exact match):
- Right click HALCOGEN.exe in your installation folder
- Select "Properties"
- Push button "Change high DPI settings" located close to the bottom
- Check second check box "Overwrite high DPI scaling"
- In the combobox below, select "System"
- "Ok", "Ok" -> done.
This works reliably and permanently for me. If you try it and it works for you, please leave a note.
Context: I am on Windows 10 with this. I am using a 5k HiDPI display and a scaling of 150%.
