TMS570LS3137: Flash not support current Flash operation

Hello! I am working with a TMS570LS3137 and I want to Erase the Flash. I get the debuger xds100v2 with JTAG connection. I fdid the following stepd:

1. In CCS10.x, connect target through XDS100V2

2. Open CCS10.x-->Tools-->On-Chip Flash

3. Under Erase Option, select "entire flash", the click "Erase Flash"

But when I set 'Erase Flash', appear the next message:

I chek the connection with 'Test connection' and works.

I'am using the CCS V10.2

I really need help with this. Thanks a lot for any help you cn give me.

Hi,

Do you use TI HDK board or your own board? When you issue the erase command, is the JTAG connection lost? Is the power supply stable when performing the flash operation?

Are you able to read the content of the flash using CCS memory browser?

Hello QJ Wanj, thanks for your reply. Yes, I have the TI HDK board, with the power sypply stable. The JTAG connection aparently is OK.

Using the UNIFLASH, I can read the flash:

With the CCS, I see it like this (I don't know if you have to configure something previously)

Sorry, I click in - Run - Connected target - and now I can see the memory browser:

But I can´t erase the flash.

Is there a solution to this problem? Or is there another option to erase the flash? I really need to be able to use this board. I would like to know if I need another plate or if this board can be used..

Hi Federico,

Have you tried the Uniflash? The flash content is valid MCU code. How did you program the code the flash?

Yes, I tried with Uniflash, but was unsuccessful. I guess the last time I programmed my board the code was wrong, because it was for a Little Endian device (and the TMS570LS3137 is a Big endian device).

I do not know if it is possible that a bad register was written.

I don't know if this has any solution or the board is broken. I am very sad about this.
