RM48L952: Porting EMIF Interface Driver to REM EtherCAT Driver Library

Hi TI,

We are working on MCU RM48L952 Integrating with ADI REM Switch (FIDO5200) for EtherCAT using EMIF Parallel Interface. We got the REM Switch EtherCAT general Driver from ADI and generated HALCoGen EMIF Driver for the MCU. But we are struggling with porting of the REM Switch EtherCAT Driver with the controller for EMIF. We found from the "REM Switch Software Driver User Guide" and " AN-1554 (Rev. 0) (analog.com) "that, the same REM Switch (FIDO5200) is already ported and integrated with TI's "TMS320F2807" with EMIF Interface. Can you please help with the example/reference file/source code for "TMS320F2807" using EMIF interface with the REM Switch. or any method/reference to integrate with RM48L952 MCU.

I don't have TMS320F2807 code for using REM Switch (FIDO5200). Do you have it?

No. I don't have it. From REM APP NOTE ( AN-1554 (Rev. 0) (analog.com) ) I found that, REM Switch is paired with "TMS320F2807" and interfaced with EMIF. We're not able to get the Source code for MS320F2807 for using REM switch. If that is not available, can you please help me with any other code examples/reference to integrate EMIF and Port REM Switch Driver library to the RM48 MCU?

Yesterday i got the example codebase for TMS320F2837xD. but it's for different EtherCAT switch(Beckhoff ET1100). can you please help us to port and integrate for RM48 with REM switch.

Hi Nagaraju,

Do you have the hardware setup ready for TMS570 + Beckhoff ET? How do you interface RM48x board to Beckhoff board?

I just read the EMIF driver and SPI driver used in this project. There is nothing special, you can use the driver generated by HALCoGen. You need to port the code based on your hardware setup. If any problem of using EMIF and SPI drivers, I can help you check the code.

we don't have the hardware setup for TMS570 + Beckhoff ET. but we do have the setup for RM48+ADI's REM switch FIDO5200. the above mentioned code I'm using as reference because for RM48 we didn't get any example or reference for EtherCAT implementation for RM48. we tried the porting part for our RM48 hardware setup and we are testing. and it is not working. may be we are missing something. we'll check some more time and will ask your help if the problem still persists.
