AM2434: real performance of AM2434

Dear Champs,

My customer would like to check the real performance of AM2434 and memory latency of internal SRAM and TCM.

Could you please let me know the memory latency of internal SRAM and TCM in AM2434?

I checked benchmark document of AM64x, but could not find any information for internal SRAM.

Hi SI,

Are you asking about latency for one of the R5F cores to access its own TCM, and the 2 MB MSRAM?

Hi SI,

The table below shows R5F memory latencies.

From	To	Silicon Measurement (max, ns)	Note
R5F	Local TCM	1.25	1 clock cycle, R5F @ 800 MHz
R5F	Other R5F SS TCM	108.75
R5F	OCSRAM (MSRAM)	77.5

If data is in L1 cache for the OCRAM case, the latency will be 1 clock cycle.

Normally L1 cache is 0 wait memory, right? Does the 1 clock cycle latency mean '0' wait and do you mean total consumed cycle to read data when you mentioned 'the latency will be 1 clock cycle'?

Correct.

The column in the table should be nanoseconds (ns), not milliseconds (ms). Then 1 clock cycle at 800 MHz is 1/800e6*1e9 = 1.25 ns. Sorry for the mistake, I've updated the table.
