TM4C1294NCPDT: Quick format using Tiva fatfs

Hi,

How can I quick format using Tiva fafts?

The method f_mkfs takes around 6 times to format a 4GB sd-card irrespective of any PartitioningRule and AllocSize.

Settings:

Micro-controller – TM4c1294ncpdt
SPI Speed – 10Mhz
SdCard Size – 4GB
Tiva C series - 2.2.0.295

Hello Pushpa,

The fatfs library provided is a third party resource and not TI developed so we do not have deep knowledge of how it works.

For information on FATFS please check this page: http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html

I did not see anything about 'quick format' there at a glance.
