TM4C1294KCPDT: Cannot enter RUN state

With the XDS110 in DFU Mode, issue the following command from a Windows host (the safest Operating System for this critical operation).

.\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110>xdsdfu -b boot_loader.bin -r

• Give some time to allow the operation to complete (maximum of 5~7 minutes, depending on the type of the USB port used) and unplug and replug the XDS110 from the USB port. Re-issue xdsdfu -e to verify what is the status of the probe.
• If the status is not found, retry steps 1 through 3 to bring it back to DFU Mode and flash the bootloader.
• If the status is in DFU mode, then write the firmware according to the instructions shown at the section Updating the XDS110 Firmmware above. Unplug/replug the XDS110 after the operation completes successfully.

Yes, now the board cannot be detected.

And indeed on all reference circuits, TM4C1294NCPDTI3 is used. And for the board, the customer is unable to buy the TM4C1294NCPDTI3,so he is using TM4C1294KCPDT3.

Dose this matter?

The main difference is the flash size (1 MB vs 512KB). The original bootloader binary that comes with current CCS installations may not fit properly because of the smaller size. There should be a new binary that will fit properly. I will look for it and attach it to this thread

Please try using the XDS110 binaries in the below zip instead.

ccs1110_xds110.zip

Note that the binaries will also be available in the upcoming CCS 11.1.0 release

I don't see this part number. I do see TM4C1294KCPDTT3, TM4C1294KCPDTI3, and TM4C1294KCPDTI3R. I assume it is one of these. Which exact one?

The customer is talking about the TM1C1294KCPDT. Now it cannot be used as XDS110.
