UNIFLASH: Install not working on Mac M1

Part Number: UNIFLASH

I have CCS working perfectly and the project I have builds and executes perfectly on my C3220SF. But, I'm trying to install UNIFLASH 7.0.0.3615 on my MacBook M1. Unfortunately, when I launch the setup, the setup window opens but is completely black and the setup next fully begins (see screenshot). Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • James,

Yes there was a change in Monterey that breaks the M1 support in our UniFlash and CCS installers.

    There are a couple workarounds

    1. You can use the cloud version of UniFlash at dev.ti.com
    2. You can run the x86 runtime for the installer.

    For #2

    • Run the .dmg
    • Right click on the .app and select to show contents
    • Then run the x86 runtime

This runs the installer using Rosetta.  In the end this is fine as UniFLash is not a native M1 application anyway.  We have an update to the installer coming in 7.1 that addresses the Monterey issue.

    Regards,

    John
