TM4C123GH6PM: Remote updates

Hi Folks,

I'm migrating from the CC3200MOD to the Tiva TM4C123GH6PM microcontroller. Part of the code migration is to be able to do remote updates. (Currently on the CC3200 I can download the new program and write to flash for the bootloader to run on the next power cycle of the CC3200.)

Are there libraries for writing to the program memory of the TM4C123 chip? (Any resources available for doing remote updates? )

Hi Bob,

Please refer to the Bootloader user's guide at https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spmu301. You can also find the same document under /docs directory in your TivaWare installation. There are several ways to boot and load/update your firmware - using UART, SPI, I2C, CAN and USB. Please note TM4C123 does not have Ethernet and therefore bootload from Ethernet interface is not possible on this device. TM4C129 MCU which includes Ethernet is also capable of bootloading from Ethernet.
