EMIF Unused Pins for GIO

Hi,

The TRM does not say that the EMIF pins can be used for GIO.

Can you please confirm that this is the case, EMIF pins do not have GIO capability.

This is correct, the EMIF pins on the TMS570 BGA devices do not have GIO capability. If you need additional GIO pins on the TMS570 BGA package you can configure the RTP and DMM modules/pins for use as GIO. More information about these modules can be found on pages 1817 and 1887 of the TMS570LS Series Technical Reference Manual (SPNU489B).

Thanks Anthony,

I'm already using all the DMM and RTP pins as GIO and was hoping to be able to avoid stealing from the CAN and SPI. As the EMIF has a wealth of pins, I was hoping for a documentation deficiency!
