SYSCONFIG: Runnin Multiple Sysconfig(Standalone) instances in Windows

Hi all1

As mentioned. Some times I need to use multiple instances of sysconfig. Basically I tried to run 2 times by run clicking to the shortcut but it didn't work. :s

Is there any way to do it?

Hi Cesar,

Sorry it looks so. My bad. I use TMS320F28388D which has an arm core tho.

I am not aware of being able to do this unless you have two different installs.

Darian Sale is there a way to do this? Run two instance of the GUI ?

The standalone version of SysConfig is built around node-webkit, and this is a limitation of that tool. There is a workaround though:

Run SysConfig for your first instance
Navigate to the root of SysConfig install
Edit the "name" property in the package.json file to be different to what it was set to any of the previously launched instances. (Note that a launch results in a new directory (at least in windows) in %LOCALAPPDATA% for each unique "name".)
Run SysConfig again for the second instance.

Alternatively, there is no restriction to the number of SysConfig tabs you can open online at https:\\dev.ti.com\sysconfig. Or, as long as the sysconfig scripts you want to edit are in different CCS projects, CCS will let you open multiple SysConfig editor tabs.
