TM4C1294NCPDT: EPI bus

Dear Team,

My customer has seen collisions on the EPI bus.

It seems that after a read the bus is not going into TriState. We saw sine forum comments and it is stated that in general purpose mode the EPI is always in driver mode unless it is reading.

Can you provide further information?

Regards

Andreas

  • Hi,

My customer has seen collisions on the EPI bus.

Please refer to the datasheet for details. I suppose the customer uses RW bit in the EPIGPCFG register to control the RD and WR outputs. During WR, the EPI drives the bus. During RD, it is tri-stated and the external peripheral drives the data bus. Therefore, you need to look if you are in RD or WR transaction. Please also quantify how long the collision. Are we talking about a full cycle or briefly for nano seconds.
