AM2432: DDR4 Lowest Clock

Hi,

One of my customers is asking for the DDR4 lowest clock frequency. They are currently using DDR2 at around 150MHz and was wondering if DDR4 could be lowered to this frequency.

Hi Mari,

Based on the current AM2434 data sheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/am2434), section 7.10.5.2 DDRSS (DDR Sub-System), the slowest DDR_CKP/N clock frequency is 50 MHz in LPDDR4 mode clock and 625 MHz in DDR4 mode. See the excerpt below.

Also, I recommend checking with the specific memory component vendor/datasheet in question to understand the full timing limitations of lowering the DDR_CKP/N.
