TMS570LC4357: No "new data" flags are set

Hello,

I am using the 6837.TMS570LS3137_FlexRay_Example code provided by TI. I have only 2 nodes on the network. I am monitoring the bus traffic

with a logic analyzer. The two nodes are alternating transmitting messages on the bus as they should. However, neither node detects the "new data" flags when executing the

transmit_check_node function. Consequently, the Fr_ReceiveRxLPdu function is not called, so no data is received from the other node.

I have made some changes to get the bus started and running (clocks, ETC), but have not made any changes re: buffer configuration. That is unchanged from the

original example code.

Any insight you can provide would be much appreciated.

Hi David,

The VCLKA2 is used to provide the 80-MHz clock to the FlexRay Module. The second PLL (PLL2) is typically used as source for VCLKA2.

Hi QJ Wang,

I have the VCLKA2 set to 80 Mhz as you described. I see the idle bus traffic between the 2 nodes (see below). The top three traces belong to the first node and the bottom 3 traces belong to the second node.

The transmit code in transmit_check_node function executes but the data is never received by the other node. The new data flags are never set, so the receive code never executes to read the data.

Any insight as to why the new datat flags are not set?
