Hi Experts,
Firstly, let me clarify the meaning of the PRONETA.
PRONETA can be easily used to scan the topology overview, and also configure, control, and monitor I/O modules.
PRONETA Basic simplifies commissioning and configuration of your PROFINET network. The topology of your network is read automatically. You can manually adapt the address parameters of every
PROFINET device or simply apply the parameters from a template, which can also be created with PRONETA Basic.
Secondly, when I download the Proneta and scan the LP-AM243, sometimes it doesn't comes up the device as below picture.
I run the PN/RT example on the SDK 8.1, and I use a network cable/RJ45 to connect the LP-AM243 board to my computer.
When I scan the LP-AM243 for the first time, it can display normally, then I set the IP and address, it can display the connection status normally, it shows Fig.1.
But after a while, the LP-AM243 was lost as shown in the Fig.2.
And then, rescanned the LP-AM243 again and it never showed up again, keep the same status in the Fig.2.
Therefore, I checked the power supply on the LP-AM243 board, the port status/ MDIO Link up, there are normal.
So it is not clear what causes this instability, the customer also encountered the same problem.

Can you give me some dir/suggestion?
I tried to change the computer, the same issue as depicted above. Thanks!

This is the PRONETA tool used by the customer.
Hi Experts,
when the scan fails, the LED0(yellow) and LED2(green) on the J18 are all up.
Can you have a try with the same operation? Thanks!
Hi
We have following questions :
1. When the error happens, is R5F still running? If you halt it, does it halt at the same point every time? Is it going to any abort?
2. When the error happens, do you see any error messages on UART console?
3. Is this behavior consistent for multiple test runs?
But after a while, the LP-AM243 was lost as shown in the Fig.2.
4. Can you share more details on this? After how much time is the connection lost?
Regards
Dhaval Khandla

Hi Dhaval,
Answer your question as below:
1.When the error happens, the R5F is still running.
2.When the error happens, no error messages on UART console.
3.Multiple test runs, it has the same behavior as above depicted. BTW, you can have a try to do the same operation if you can.

Hi Dhaval,
Each run may or may not scan successfully. And If the scan is successful, it will probably not be lost again soon.
For time, within about 1ms in time the device lost. Thanks!

Thanks for the information.
Can you take a packet capture for working and non-working case if possible and share it with us?

There is a known issue related to this mentioned in the documentation.

Hi Dhaval,
it could explain why it is missing when Scan success.
However, sometimes the device fails to scan successfully at the beginning, but the LP-AM243 board is operating normally, and the R5F has been running.
