I am trying to locate the compiler for TMS570. A search leads me to this page ARM-CGT-19_20.2.6.LTS | TI.com. However, the download link directs to ti_cgt_tms470_20.2.6.LTS_windows-x64_installer.exe. Does the 570 and 470 have the same compiler?
Hi Ali,
The TMS470 is ARM7 or ARM Cortex-M3 based microcontroller. TMS570LC43x is ARM Cortex-R5F-based MCU.
Please check the compiler if it supports Cortex-R MCUs.
I put in the part number as I do not have access to the exact part number used by the mfg of the OEM device. The datasheets mention the ARM Cortex-R4F core of the TI TMS570 CPU.
Hi Ali,
Yes, it supports ARM Cortex-R5F.
Here is the link for downloading the compiler and user guide:
https://www.ti.com/tool/download/ARM-CGT-19
When compiling, select the right device part number (TMS570LC4357),
and correct silicon version:
