Hi QJ,
As we discussed offline, customer tried to reduce the number of physical sectors in each VS.
The original configuration, there are two VS and each VS consists of 16 physical sectors.
They reduced the number of physical sectors to 2 step by step.
Then 4KB block data read/write were done 250 times repeatedly.
Here are results.
As you can see, if the number of physical sectors are reduced, it makes the time until the SCM timeout error extended.
So it is most likely the timeout is caused due to flash erase time.
But the error still happens and customer suspects the error happens even with physical sector number is 2 if the test time is longer enough.
Customer wants to know how to avoid the error completely.
Could you provide below information?
1) Is there any method to avoid the SCM timeout caused by FEE erase time?
For example, limit the number of repeated accesses, etc.
2) As I asked before, what are correct actions to recover from the SCM timeout?
The CPU freezes in current customer's system.
Thanks and regards,
