AM2432: How to apply build options for product variants

Part Number: AM2432
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Expert,

In our projects, we are targeting 4 variant products at least, which have slightly different features from each other. To generate a specific SW version per variant model from one source repository, we need to apply a kind of model definition flag somewhere in the project file. I think there could be several ways to achieve this. however, I am wondering what is TI recommendation or if there is a setting in CCS for this purpose. It should set the model flag and then all source code to utilize the flag value for model-specific implementation, and also model-specific "syscfg" file is selected to generate code configured by model-specific syscfg. maybe, syscfg file per model should be created.

For now, I am trying to find some flag settings in system projects. I imagine we can make several system projects having a model flag, but it is unclear to me yet.

I would appreciate it if you give a recommendation or share any knowledge and experience on how to set a model build flag efficiently.

Regards,

Moonil
