Hai, I'm new to TI Microcontroller. So I need to program a board using TMS570LS1224. My problem is I cannot find the location of spiPORT5 pin 11 in HalCoGen so that I can set it as an input pin.

spiPORT5 is a pointer used by the GIO driver to access I/O PORT of SPI5 . Using spiPORT5, you can easily access 8 SPI PC registers:

gioGetBit(gioPORT_t *port, uint32 bit) is to read the value from the specified pin of the given GIO port.
In your use case, the gioPort is spiPORT5, and the pin is the bit position if PC[8:1] registers.
The bit 11 is SOMI SPI5 SOMI pin.
To configure SPI5 SOMI as GIO,
1. you need to clear the bit 11 of SPIPC0 register:
spiREG5->PC0 &= 0xFFFFFF7FF;
2. configure this pin as input
gioSetDirection(spiPORT5, 0xFFFFF7FF); //0 is input, 1 is output
or
spiREG5->PC1 &= 0xFFFFFF7FF;
3. read value of SOMI:
gioGetBit(spiPORT5, 11, value);
or
value = (spiREG5->PC2 >> 11) & 0x1; ;
