Hello, I am looking to purchase a TMS570LS31x Hercules development kit (HDK), but was hoping I could get help in selecting an I2C board to communicate between the TMS570LS31 and an EVM (specifically BQ40Z80EVM) and a cycler. Can you please suggest an I2C board with a part number to purchase?

Any help would be much appreciated!

HI Samer,

We have launchpad for TMS570LS1224. The launchpad is easy to use, and much cheaper. The I2C signals are on the connector, but you need to add the pull-up resistors to SCL and SDA lines.

So are you suggesting to use the launchpad for the TMS570LS1224 with the TMS570LS3137? Or to completely get rid of TMS570LS3137?

You can use either TMS570LS1224 or TMS570LS3137. Both devices include one I2C module. TMS570LS3137 doesn't have launchpad, but it's HDK also supports I2C interface.
