RM46L852: SPI troubleshooting MAXIM 1270

Do you connect SPI signals to ADC correctly? The MAXIM 1270 datasheet should include the recommendation. 

Maxim 1270 has its SPI communication protocol define din its datasheet, please follow the protocol to send command and read the ADC data.

To read the ADC conversion data, you need to send dummy data.

So the way I wired it up I will attach a picture. 

For the Control byte that selects what data I want and clock selection. I sent 1000;0001 which in hex is 0x0081. This is what I am transmitting to the MAXIM in the first picture of my post.

MAX1270 DS is powered with 5V on VDD. But the TMS570LSx device is not 5V tolerant device.

So I cannot use the RM46L852 with the MAXIM1270

You can use RM46 to interface MAX1M1270. You can power the MAXIM with VDD=3.3V

Sorry, my statement is not correct. The minimum value for VDD is 4.75V

So I cant use this ADC?
