RAM16 uses the different way. It is to test the functionality of EPC by reading on a location with 1-bit ECC error. This 1-bit ECC error is injected manually.

let me rephrase:

I assumed that during RAM12 one would inject first a 1-Bit Error  and check if everything would be signalled correctly, which would include the check if EPC works correctly (satisfying RAM16). After 1-Bit is verified and EPC and ESM restored. 2-Bit error would be injected to test that diagnostic.

Edit: The only difference that  I could think of, would be how to inject the error.

For RAM12 it would be:

1 Write 0x0 to RAM
2. Pointer to ECC by shiftin 4Mbytes
3. Write this ECC to DIAG_ECC
4. Write DIAGDATAVECTOR_H = 0x0 and DIAGDATAVECTOR_L = 0x01
5. Start equality Test
6. If  RAMERRSTTUS bit 21, 19 and ESM 2.7 are set, test passes

For RAM16 it would be:

1. Write 0x0 to RAM
2. Pointer to ECC by shiftin 4Mbytes
3. Write 0x1 to RAM
4. Pointer to ECC by shiftin 4Mbytes
5. Set ECC_WR_EN = 0x1
6. change ECC of 2. to that of 4.
7. Set ECC_WR_EN = 0x0
8. Read 1.
9.Check EPC and ESM 1.4

Is this the correct way to do these tests?
