AM2432: Ethernet with AM2432

Hi every one,

I'm designing with AM2432 and I'm confusing when make Ethernet with PRU_ICSSG and CPSW. I'm understanding that PRU_ICSSG is used for industrial application.

So, if my requirement is standard Ethernet (1000Base-T) not industrial Ethernet, Is CPSW is best choice? and how about PRU_ICSSG?

Hi Dao,

Yes, for std. Ethernet usage, our recommendation is using CPSW. Unless, you see industrial Ethernet requirements, we strongly recommend not using PRU_ICSSG.

This will help in scalability as well as on our other devices where we don't have ICSSG (and has ICSSM), std. Ethernet is supported via CPSW.
