UNIFLASH: Not possible to run the Image creator tool on MAC OS Monterey 12.3

After upgrading my mac to MAC OS Monterey 12.3 the uniflash app ( Version: 7.1.0.3803 ), we select the LAUNCHXL-CC3235SF (LaunchPad).

After clicking the "Start Image Creator" button the app does nothing. The arrows next to the button keeps rotating.

When trying the uniflash app on a colleague laptop with an older version of MAC OS, a message appears to upgrade uniflash.

It seems that python 2.0 is not supported in the new MAC OS version, but is mandatory to run the Uniflash app.

I did a reinstall of Python 2.7.18 but this does not solve the problem.

Nick,

I will send this over to the WiFi team to take a look at. On my macOS machine which is running Monterey 12.2.1 I see the same message as your colleague. When I click on the button to run image creator it gives me the "Unilfash" needs to be updated message with a link about sunsetting Python 2.

The fixed version of ImageCreator will be available in the next Uniflash release (V7.2). This version should be coming out soon.

Is there any work-around to flash CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL on MAC OS Monterey? I have tried the earlier versions but no luck!

Unfortunately there are no work-arounds at this time. The issue will be fixed in the next release early next week.
