Hi experts,

We want to store a few bytes in the internal Flash that can be modified by the SW during runtime.
The only information on the Flash that I can find, is in the Reference Manual, which does not explain how to write to a Flash Page.
Since we do not want to use the Flash Library, we need more information on how the flash can be modified.

(Q1) Can you explain how to write to a flash sector without using the Flash Library and HalCogen or forward me the necessary documentation?

Hi Max,

I never tried to program the flash without using F021 flash APIs. Erasing and programming flash sectors may need several registers which are not published in the TRM.

Can you store the data to EEPROM using out FEE driver? The FEE driver does also requires F021 flash Lib.

Hi QJ,

We do not want to use the FEE Library. We just want to save a few bytes to flash without needing to use the Flash library, the fee Library and the SafeTI Compliance Support Package.

So is there a way to get the documentation missing from the TRM?

Hi Max,

I don't have an example. But you can use the example listed in SPNA148.pdf.

SPNA148 is located in F021 Flash Library installation folder.

Hi QJ,

The document list the F021 Flash API as necessary to initialize the Flash.

Is there a way to avoid this?

It is to disable the level1 protection, then enable the flash bank and sectors for programming. You don't have to use the API.
