Hi,
we are facing a lot of problems with ordering TM4C129ENCPDT (and TM4C129CNCPDT), it seems that no part available anywhere.I talked to a seller of the TI Webshop,he told me, they won't be available til 2023. So I wonder, if this is true or if not, how can we order parts in volumes of 10k (or at least 1k) ? This situation is now the same for several months and is of course very little satisfying. What is our possibility to improve this, any advice is welcome.
Thanks & Regards
Micky
Hi Micky,
I fully understand your frustration. I will let our marketing team explain the situation and hopefully address your concerns. We will get back with you.
Hello Micky,
Unfortunately there is not much I can provide on a public forum regarding this. What I can say is that I think it is well understood by all there are a lot of supply challenges across the board for semiconductors in 2022 and that includes microcontrollers like TM4C. Availability is a challenge and new orders at volume are not being filled as quickly as they had been in the prior environment before these challenges arose. The best advice I can give is to not delay in placing orders to secure the current best estimated ship dates.
I am not sure if you have any local sales contacts but if not you can also reach out to our customer support center to try and get more understanding as I cannot comment in any more detail on E2E: https://ticsc.service-now.com/csm

Hi Ralph,
thanks for your answer and I will try to contact the Services, but I fear this has already been done by my colleagues. Of course these days are difficult, but it's really bad for all of us, if we cannot get any device at all. Perhaps there are some superior customers with 100k or higher buy volume, but our 10k volume is not higher. We already bought from broker, but the broker's price is now 42$@1k . So this is absolutely a real problem.
We placed already orders at official distributors but have no real answer, not even a real forecast.

Micky
Hi Micky,
I wish I could give more details / answers that your distributors are not providing, but unfortunately these E2E forums are for technical support and we aren't able to speak about supply / availability concerns on them. It pains me to hear that brokers are charging such exorbitant prices for these devices and I agree fully it is a real problem. It's just not one I can help address here, and I am sorry for that.
Best Regards,
Ralph Jacobi
Hi Ralph,
I made up an Case (#CS0960981) as you've recommended over 5 days ago - and didn't receive any answer. That is really disappointing but exactly the experience my colleges have encountered.
That's even more frustrating - not getting parts, not getting answers, not getting delivery states. Nothing.
Sorry for sharing, but I have no other idea, what to do.
Regards
Micky
Hi Ralph,
So today, after 13 days I got an answer:
"[...]As of now, no estimated date yet . [...] You may also request help form our engineers to help advise for an alternate part if that would help .I believe I have completed your request. Therefore, I have set the status as resolved."
But it should be clear: We are talking about a Software development highly focused on these parts, with specialized soft - & hardware certification. So I really donot see any alternative as proposed by the ticket, or do you?
Regards
Michael
Hi Michael,
There are cases when microcontrollers have 'superset' devices that are pin and software compatible to the point that you could drop it into an existing design w/ no change to hardware/software which was the intent of the suggestion to look for alternates. However for your case, you are already using the superset device for this TM4C package type so there isn't any higher featured device to consider.
