Is there a way to reset the eQEP Capture Timer (QCTMR) value each the CPU reads the position counter (QPOSCNT)?

QCTMR is not reset when reading the position counter (QPOSCNT).

You can write 0x0 to ACTMR.

Where can I find information regarding the ACTMR register?

I couldn't find information neither in the tms570ls1227 datasheet nor in tms570lsx technical reference manual.

Thanks for the information and ignore my reply. It is clear from the context you mean QCTMR but you wrote ACTMR.
