Could you help us?

TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 external memory interface (EMIF) can be connected to external memory interface (EMIF) of TMS320C6655. Can I have two-way communication?

I see that the device has multiple communication interfaces: three MibSPIs, up to two SPIs, one LIN, one SCI, three DCANs, one I 2C, one Ethernet, and one FlexRay controller. Could you please give us the suitable interface to have high-speed communication between TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 and TMS320C6655?

Hi Jonathan,

The common use for the EMIF is to interface with both a flash and an sync RAM. EMIF can not be connected to EMIF of another device.

You can use TMS570 SPI or MibSPI to DSP SPI. The maximum speed of SPI is 25MHz.

There is the obsolete MCBTMS570 evaluation board, in which the the EMIF of a TMS570LS20216 was connected to a TI DSP. The schematics are at https://www.keil.com/mcbtms570/mcbtms570-mcu-board-schematics.pdf but I can't remember the TI DSP part number and the schematics don't seem to quote it.

The TMS570LS20216 MDK doesn't contain any DSP.

You can use Ethernet or MibSPI.

You may try TMS570 EMIF -- DSP PCI. PCI is much different than EMIF and you need an interface chip in between.
