EMAC TX Host Interrupt error buffer not owned

The PDK you were using is a pretty old one. I'd recommend you to upgrade to the latest Processor SDK. 

Please note that TI has stopped supporting TI-RTOS based and bare-metal SW development for AM437x. Please refer to the announcement and find consolidated resources there.

Any help in debuging this problem would be appreciated since upgrading is not an option . Is it possible to recover from this error with a soft Reset?

This always seems to happen after two transmits within a microsecond , this looks like a possible race condition in the emac driver. Are there any limitations with the emac driver as regards setting up the bufer descriptors ? How is the host error interrupt generated?

Looking at emac_drv_v4.c , the call to EMAC_sendPacket() does not use the return value . If this call fails EMAC_DRV_RESULT_OK is returned . Surely since the packet is not transmitted the packet should be released ?
